Afternoon Update

The main indices are trying to move somewhat higher ahead of the close, but moves are still confined to an extremely narrow range. No average is up or down more than a quarter of a percent. Interestingly, First Republic Bank’s FRC (+11.9%) price action is looking pretty darn good ahead of earnings after the bell….
